Ugg whats the deal with all these rail shooters coming out for the light gun, seems like were taking a step backwards here. Are there any regular shooters coming out that also use the zapper?

I know that Resident Evil: UC does support the zapper. I don't know for Medal of Honors Heroes 2 (there's an on-rails shooters modebut it's not the whole game). As for Ghost Squad, I don't know. chris3116
MoH is confirmed to be 100% playable with the Zapper.

I'm actually glad to see them make a come back. Good memories and fun times in arcades. Would be nice to have some new ones! I'm hoping Resident Evil is at least somewhat comparable to House of the Dead (best rail shooter ever made)

For reals. I don't know why people keep complaining "all those on rail shooters". Yeah, all TWO of those.
Honestly....I am going to buy EVERY ON-RAILS SHOOTER
They are the funnest games!!!! Especially when they are 2-player co-op!!!
Why don't people like them....they are WAY better than Regular boring shooters that we have seen 100 times
If I DID have a 360.....I would still be more excited for RE:UC than RE5
ON-RAILS shooters are amazing and perfectly fit for the Wii....
and they are WAY more fun thanregular shooters taht are all the same
everyone seems to associate the term "on-rails shooter" with something like time crisis, virtual cop, ghost squad, etc...
Where's the love for the on-rails shooters that aren't like that?
Starfox , Panzer Dragoon (not on Wii, just as an example), Star Wars Rogue Leader. These are definitely shooters and they are definitely on rails. And as far as I'm concerned, these are more fun and provide more of a challenge than the FPS games on rails. That's just me though.
I love rail shooters, I say bring them on.
There great with a friend. But I do have to say with the games now they would have to add multiple paths or some clever uses of puzzles, to capture most peoples attention.
I remember when I would see a new one pop-up in the arcades, always made my day.
Arcades... you now thoseplaces your parents told you about that use to house videogames,
actually at one point the only place you could play the latest games.(sigh) I miss you arcade:(
I'm honestly tired of rail shooters, I've played too many. Now I actually go outside and airsoft, and shoot moving around, instead of standing at shooting Zombies, and those Bad Guys in Time Crisis :P.
Well, the only game I'm kinda looking foward to for On Rail, is RE:UC because it's RE, and Ghost Sqaud, because the Arcade one is kinda fun.

Another one I found fun that I don't think too many people knew about was Lucky& Wild (back in the early '90s). It was an on-rails shooter where you drove down a road shooting down baddies ultimately chasing down the main criminal for that level. 2 people can shoot, but 1 person had to drive & shoot, so you got to control your movement a bit. Best part about it was that if you wanted to continue, it only took 1 quarter to allow both people to continue.
