hey so i was wondering what the usb ports in the back of the wii are for? cuz i have the nintendo usb adapter but obviously it doesnt work if the computer is on and i was basically wondering if i can plug the adapter into the wii and have it work from there? i also have a DS as well which i want to run through this adapter. can anyone help? i have a wireless router btw but i'd just prefer to use the higher encryption WPA instead of WEP i belive. thanks in advance

About the only thing using the Wii's USB ports right now is the Ethernet adapter. There'll proabably be future addons that use them as well.

The Nintendo adapter cannot be used in the way you describe, sry.

There's rumours for an hard drive to come. If that's true, put it on the ports.

A Wiimote Charger uses a USB port that I have. But I don't use the Wii one; I don't want it to overheat.. again. I still need to send that in. Should get on that soon I suppose.

so i guess to use my usb adapter i have to install the actual software, plug in the adapter and have my computer on? wow thats some work if i just want to keep my internet a little more secure. oh well thanks guys
