NINTENDO DOWNLOAD: NINTENDO ASKS EVERYONE TO MUSCLE MARCH IN FORMATION

Jan. 18, 2010

There's a lot to say about this week's downloadable games. You can check out the brain-training power of The Amazing Brain Train! or the cute puppies of Me And My Dogs: Friends Forever. Fans of more traditional games can protect their space fleet from waves of enemies in STARSHIP DEFENSE™ or explore the dual temporal world of Chronos Twins. Retro gamers will certainly like the ninja stylings of Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi™ on the Virtual Console™ service or the chance to try out the Nintendo DSiWare™ title Dark Void™ Zero, a mythical long-lost game from Capcom's vaults.

And then there's Muscle March.

A bunch of bodybuilders (and a polar bear) clad in bikini briefs chase after protein-powder thieves who can bash through walls at will. Strike your best bodybuilder poses to catch the thief and make the protein powder yours again. This surreal experience is best shared among friends, so start flexing!

I wondered what happened to Chronos Twins. I might have to get that, Dark Void, and Starship Defense as all three look pretty good.

DSiWare got some awesome looking games today! I'm most interested in the Starship Defense; I'm a real sucker for a good tower defence game. :D I may check out the Dark Void, but I've never been a huge fan for side scroller shoot'em ups (except for Megaman and Gunstar Heroes). The Chronos Twins does have my interest since the one for WiiWare has been getting really good reviews.

No, Dark Void Zero was just created to release along side Dark Void. Like... Retro Game Challenge, if you will. It's a new 'retro' game.

Anyways, if I hadn't just gone on a spending spree, I'd definitely pick up Dark Void Zero and Starship Defense.

No capcom made the game years ago for the NES, but the game got canceled. Now that they started working on the new dark void game, they went back to find the rom for that old game. They found pieces of it, fixed it up, and put it on dsiware.

That was just a joke to add backstory to the game.

that's what i first thought. turns out it WAS true. check the last Today On the Spot if you don't believe us. only problem is that it wasn't a NES game, it was an arcade game.
