Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter confirmed for E3 2019 Nintendo Direct

Nintendo will announce the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in its E3 Nintendo Direct, the company has confirmed. Director Masahiro Sakurai shared the news at the end of today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 tournament.

The E3 2019 Nintendo Direct will air at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM in the UK / 6 PM in Europe on June 11.

Rumors suggest it's Banjo and Kazooie, and whatever could be alright, but I kind of hope it's someone else. If Master Chief and Aloy join the fight, I really wouldn't complain about that.

I would love it if Quote were one of the characters.

@vfighter: I don't think it matters if the game was on a Nintendo console or not anymore. Cloud was added before FF7 on a Nintendo console was something, though you could split hairs and say the Theatrythm games are the reason for that. Same thing with Joker, though now Persona Q2 and P5S make him more relevant, even if we still don't get P5Royal.

I think Nintendo's improved relationship with Microsoft could lead to characters from other consoles being added to SSB. And hey, maybe they've made amends with Sony enough to do the same. Sony did make PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and while it was a horrible game it still did a great job of gathering Sony IP characters into one place to battle it out; it clearly was a love-letter to SSB and its style of gameplay, though.
