Netflix Coming to 3DS in North America Tomorrow

Netflix is coming to the 3DS in North America tomorrow! It will be a free application that allows Netflix members to have an unlimited streaming plan to watch TV shows and movies in 2D. 3D movies shouldn't be too far behind.

My only concern is what the battery life of the system will be while watching a movie, I imagine in 3D it would be longer than three to four hours when playing a game. It would be kind of a downer to watch 3D movie and then have over 50% of your battery life shot.

It just went up. It works well. This will do wonders when I visit relatives.

I just downloaded it. It runs pretty smoothly, though it kind of takes a while to load images of the movies, but the general layout is the same as the site. Loading the episode or movie that you're watching takes slightly longer (at least for me) than it does on a console or my laptop but it's not unbearably long. The video quality is pretty good considering the device it's on. Also, the audio is louder than I thought it would be, much louder than the 3D videos we got from Nintendo from E3.

So basically if you have netflix stock, now is the time to dump it.

I want games for my 3ds...not movies, that is for my Television.

Works pretty well but I don't think I'll ever use it unless they put some 3D movies up.

i think it looks great...almost HD since the screen is small.. audio is loud but headphones fixes everything..

I downloaded it onto my 3DS this morning but....I don't have a netflix account. I know there is a month free trial, but when I go to netflix.com/nintendo3ds all it does is take me the members login, where am I suppoused to enter the code? :(

I'll definitely use Netflix more on my 3DS than on my Wii. It feels so portable now.

Make an account on the website and when you're done, press Yes when it asks you on the 3DS.
It will give you a code that you're suppose to enter at netflix.com/activate. Netflix should work when it's done activating. :)

When making the account, it will ask you for your credit card number. Netflix is free for one month and if you cancel before the month is over, you won't need to pay.

I'm sitting here for the past five minutes waiting for this to try to retrieve my show. It's been having problems connecting all through the process... I don't think the service likes my machine that much. JustPlainLucas

I been really enjoying netflix on the 3DS. Being able to lay in bed and watch something before I fall asleep is pretty awesome. Really great for my anime watching :D

Disappointing news to report today. It looks like Netflix won't have 3D movies after all. It turns out that the press release was actually talking about Nintendo Video instead.
