Monolith Soft's new game (Xenoblade 2?) has multiplayer

First of all, the game looks amazing and Xenoblade Chronicles is the best rpg of this generation imho. But when I was watching the new trailer I noticed a chat box and it says player 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the top. I don't know about you guys, but I'm personally excited about multiplayer in a Xeno game.

If true then that could realy open up for some Monster Hunter/ MMO Guild style battles, which could be really awesome given the scope of the battles.

Edit: Paying any kind of monthly fee would be a bummer though.

Guess it's hard to say. That interview is 7 months old. Personally I expect to see a Last Story 2 (if Nintendo has any brains), and I can't wait.

We have no clue ifits UE3, just the guy above coming here twice and saying that it is.

Never bought a wii but borrowed one just to play Xenoblade (also ended up getting Last Story and skyward sword as well:D )

This looks awesome. I loved Xenoblade. Probably one of my favourite games this gen. I guess I will have to get a wiiU just for this.

I had a few reservations about the art too, but I admit it is too early to get to any conclusions.

Xenoblade was a really special game when it comes to setting and art style, so I am sure some, or all, of its artistic prowess will translate to this game.

? what's wrong with the art?...do people want more cartoony?..at least a face looks like a face this time & not like a painted egg. I thought it looked great, I like the art style. As long as the armour/weapon appearance change when you upgrade then its good. Would like to see more physics stuff as well tho.

Developers need to stop shoehorning MP in my games. I don't like playing online, I don't like playing with random people. I hate group games because it's so hard to actually get time set aside from everyone to actually play it.

In my RPG's I would much rather have control over my entire party.

I like playing games on my own time, and when a night arrives that I have a friend that can play, it's easier to play a racing title, fighter, shooter or something.

If they just want it to be in option like whats in the Tales of games then its fine. Just don't make it like a MMO and take away me being able to command my whole team.

In monster hunter the online was totally optional, why protest an option for people who WANT it, if you don't want it don't use the feature?
