Metroid Prime Trilogy, the best has to be .....

I played MP3 before the other 2. I think it's awesome. But, when i played the GCs MP1 and MP2, wow, i think MP3 is the least of the trilogy. I mean it's still an awesome game but to me, MP1 and MP2 are better. If only they can be played using the wiimote and nunchuk. IMHO, MP1 is the best, MP2 comes 2nd. Ok, now let's hear yours.

Nope, sadly Prime 3 was the last in the series. Retro Studios their developer are "having a break from Metroid", hopefully we'll see a new 3D Metroid series soon.

Metroid Prime, then prime 3, and in a close last prime 2.

I loved Prime 3, but it was almost too mainstreamed. The only reason it's better than 2 is because of the annoyances of the game... not to say that 2 was a bad game, because it so wasn't.

One thing I loved about Prime 3 is the fact that you can put it down for a couple days and pick it up without being completely lost.

My favorite was probably Echoes... They're all good, but Echoes was the hardest, and also the most fun for me. Although it took me a lot longer to beat Prime 1. I just really liked going back and forth between the dark world and light world... it reminded me of a Zelda game on a lot of levels.MrPoo6321

Echoes also had the best use of the Morphball in the series. I was really dissappointed that prime 3 didn't use the Ball as much as I hoped it would.

MP3 for me, simply because the controls are amazing and you finally aren't all alone in the whole damn game anymore.
Part 1 follows closely behind, part 2 was a let-down for me.

Metroid Prime 3 was a good game...but Prime 1 and 2 are probably the best games of last generation, if not in the top 5.

That IS the reason why Metroids such a great series...in my opinion anyway

The 3 are very close but 1 is the best balance for me... althought 3 comes next because of amazing controls I missed some more bal, the missle combos andother thingsthat were present in prime 1 and 2 ( I loved the sonic boom).:D

In terms of improving upon nearly every element and feeling a bit more polished,Prime 3 is the best,but in terms of overall innovation,"Wow!" factor,and the amazing feeling of being behind the visor of Samus for the first time,Prime 1 wins out.

Metroid Prime (which I coincidentally just started again for the first time in a year about an hour ago lol) is my hands down, All-Time favorite game ever created by man. 2 and 3 round out the top 5 for me but it's hard to tell which one I like more. They're both flawless in different ways and their strong points are different:

Longer and more difficult game (both very good things. Especially length)

Has more of the seclusion feeling throughout

Has the dynamic of losing abilities and regaining them which I love

Has more to do and larger maps

Has more of the classic Metroid atmosphere

Has separate weapons as opposed to stacking weapons

Corruption:

Easily the prettiest game of all three. By a long shot.

The control spanks the experience of the previous two

Amazing presentation including the addition of Voice Acting

Best boss battles of the three NOT including (the boss) Metroid Prime

Has the most action

Has the best story

So as you can see it's a hard choice.

I would have to disagree with coruption having the best story

It may have presented the story way better with FMV and dialoge

but i think the actual stories of 1 and 2 were better if u took the time

to read scan data. I want a MP4 but one thats not geared to people who are new to the seires

i want it for people who loved the 1st 2 games

MP1 is the best so far to me, also one of the most atmospheric games ever...The scanning, the level design it was just pure genius...Its one of my best games of all time along with MGS1 and SMB 3....The rest werent as wowing as 1 but 3 had some solid controls,great level design and audio,more involved story(1 still has the best story to me though) but 3 had some nice voice acting...

So I think MP3 comes 2nd for me then MP2...

Off note but MP3 gave me alot of hope for FPs's on wii in terms of graphics and controls..

I would say i liked Metroid Prime 3 the best. It had less back-tracking which is good for me cause I'm pretty stupid. After that, it would be Metroid Prime 1, then Metroid Prime 2.Durffen

Yea what he said. Echoes was ruined all cause of the portal stuff and the ammo count. But overall the story was good though.

Personally I found Corruption to be the best by far. I didn't like the first two Metroid Prime games for the GC. I found the controls odd and restricting. On top of that the first two games had too much backtracking which I didn't like either especially since most of the backtracking in Echoes was unjustified.

In Corruption on the other hand, controls were marvelous. It had none of the restrictions that the GC controller caused. On top of that there wasn't a whole lot of backtracking, the pacing also felt a lot better and the environments seemed richer. My only complaint about Corruption was that it was way shorter than I had hoped. Much shorter than the first two games.

Metroid Prime 2 gets my vote, and I'll admit the game is more of an acquired taste. In the end, I felt it was the coolest story, enviornments, and atmosphere (I also think it had the best boss fights, but that is certainly debatable). Metroid Prime 2 also had the best graphics (for its time) which were absolutely stunning.

I didn't like the weapon system on mp3 but the controls make up for it. to me, mp3 and mp1 are tied because of their length, puzzles, good controls, and cool upgrades. but mp2 seemed to be lacking. I think you just don't like mp3 as much is because the other 2 were new to you.
