Mario's Time Machine

So I was browsing through random YouTube videos and happened to stumble upon a review of what I wasn't even sure was an actual game. But wow, it certainly is. I'm a huge fan of the Mario franchise but this one doesn't feel at all like it fits in. Has anyone played it? I wonder if it's possible we see any kind of reconstruction of it on a future console xD

I played Mario is Missing! on the NES. It was an awful game, but by god, I beat it. I never played Mario's Time Machine, but it looks pretty similar.
