mario party 8 is selling pretty good, i think that we will have mario party 9 for chirstmas ... cuz even if always they release 1 mario party every year, they should have realese mario party 8 in 2006 chirsmas for GC, nintendo didn't because they were making it a wii game, it went out in may 2007, now in chirstmas 2008 they have to realese a new Wii made mario party.
yes, there will be another one. They release one every year and its one of their best selling franchises. It would be dumb of them not to release a new one.
Online wouldn't do anything. Mario Party would be overly frustrating if you couldn't see the people you're fighting. They need to make it less luck-oriented.
Mario Party 8 was released last year, and so did Mario Party DS. We should expect a new game sometime before the end of this year.
Let us hope that it makes improvements, such as bringing the series online.

I'm not sure if Nintendo will ever release an online Mario Party game, since the purpose of Mario Party games are to party with friends. But Nintendo might be thinking in a different way.
I'd sign a petition for it. I love the MP games...I think them making 9 will definitely happen eventually, i just hope it's soon. I just hope they actually add widescreen/480p support, and maybe throw in nunchuck controls as well... more unlockable characters would be a + too.

Mario Party 8 came in April of last year. Nothing has been mentioned that I know of regarding 9, but yeah it will probably happen and be by say... summer of 2009.

YES. That addition to the series is perfect. And I would love to get back to the classic Mario Party games. When you got stars by going to the person... not buying hotels or such.
if the game was online and you had a little more control over winning the game, it would be a good, solid game. I like things to be neck-and-neck to the end, don't get me wrong, but only when both players are evenly matched in skill, and not just because the game randomly dictates the winner with a dice roll.
Anyway, I would probably buy an online Mario Party. Toad had better be playable this time though.
I genuinely enjoyed Mario Party 8. And 7. And 6. And so on. If you don't have people to play these games with, ie, if you are playing these games by yourself, then there isn't anything particularly fantastic about them, so online-play with voice chat would be a great addition. The big trick to enjoying these games is to play them with people who are just as into them as you are; if you play with someone who is bored, the game will totally blow.
How, you ask, do you get a group of friends to be just as "into it" as you are? Well that's easy- bong rips for mini-game victories! It works! Er, I assume.
mario party is a great game and im obsessed with it. Mario party 9 should be released within the year but needs changes.
It must have an online feature. It could support 8-player gaming where one person uses the remote and another uses the nunchuk. A board creator mode would be great which expands the boards we can play on. One of the things that annoys me on previous games is the amount of luck required. mp9 should lower the luck and create more skill, especially in its minigames.
I hope it gets released soon and when it does im buying instantly!!!:D
