Mario Kart 8 DX Controller Throwing Moments

The worst is when you're about to cross the finish line in first place and then get hit by three items in succession and end up finishing fifth.

I've got a few failed moments recorded on my Switch but I guess what comes to mind is when you're in first and have decent defence items...suddenly, a shock happens and you get wrecked by everyone behind you.

damn i used to be good at both racing and battle in mario kart 64. and now i cant do shit in either on mario kart 8. feels bad man.

in super mario kart i was bad at racing but pretty good at battle at least.

mario kart wii i was ok at both battle and racing. in racing all you had to do was pick a bike and pop a wheelie every second :P

yeah MK8/MK8DX is another level

....looked like you had more moments of terrible driving than the game truly sticking it to you...

But I can still understand your frustration. Mario Kart 7 was the last Mario Kart I played and I had countless moments of fuckery that made me come SOOOOOOO close to chucking my 3DS across the room. Rubberbanding CPU's (No matter how many times they fall off the cliff, get struck by level hazards, or hit with other CPU items, they never seem to fall that far behind even with absolute perfect driving) and getting assaulted by two-three items in rapid succession (the normal item combination was blue shell and lightning, in no particular order of how their launched) was the reason why it took me a while to 3-star every single cup, especially at 150cc and beyond...
