I felt the same way about Mario Kart DS. It made me like Mario Kart more than I ever did in general.
Mario Kart DS is my favorite in the series, so I'm expecting big things from this.

Ditto.
I refuse to buy this game unless there's a mission mode (none of that competition garbage from MKWii) and they fix the item balancing.
Is it just me, or did this game look A LOT better when they released screens in June 15 2010?

Sometimes when there is a lot of content in a game, the graphics won't look as good as the other games.
It looks pretty good but I expected it to look better. It doesn't seem to have the polish of the Wii version, maybe? However, having 60 frames per second while in 3D mode or not sounds cool.
i cant wait for this game, but plz NO SNAKING in this game like in Mario Kart Wii

"Polish of the Wii version"? The Wii version's graphics were not all of that great. This version looks identical to it.
However, after playing Mario Kart Wii I realized that didn't really matter. Still, for the Wii U, I'd like to see a step forward graphically.
@MarioFan I gotta disagree with you there. This is a screen of Mario Kart Wii:

Just right click on the image or link and click copy and then click on the tree when posting and then right click in the 1st box and then click paste and then click insert.

I don't think that's actually a Mario Kart Wii screenshot... look at the item box.The final game itself ought to look better, the 3D trailer won't exactly be the same. That Donkey Kong Country Returns track was really neat, and I was happy when I learned that Retro Studios is working on Mario Kart 3DS with Nintendo, so this will be very good.
Im not into the Mario Kart hype, but I just wanna know do they ever add anything new to the game besides maps? I don't really see the difference between this and the previous Mario Kart game. Not bashing on the game I just wanna know the difference. RoyalDeath
This one has kart customization.

Mario Kart DS was great except for the snaking cheat which made online play worthless. Hopefully they will have addressed that in MK 3DS.
I read a preview which said they changed the way you drift making snaking much harder to achieve. That being said, I never minded snakers online. If I saw someone snaking, I would do the same but if no one was, I just played normally. Disconnections were more of a problem. Please Log In to post.
