Mario And Luigi Are Swimming Together??? It's Crazy

Ok, most of us have our Wii's connected to the internet and we've downloaded from the Wii Shop channel. When the download comes either Mario or Luigi comes and runs from the left to the right side of our screens collecting coins that scroll the opposite way hitting each of three bricks along the way. (here's a note for you with a slower connection, you get a better show)

Well I downloaded Startropics and I get to the download screen waiting for Mario or L-tastic to start running then it happens...

The underwater theme from Super Mario Bros starts and Mario AND Luigi start swimming from the left side of my screen to the right!

This is of course the first time I've seen this and it made me happy so I clapped like a seal.

Has anyone else seen this yet?

Thanks to our good friend Izorro he's lead us to a YouTube video that shows the download. It seems on the second pass they grab some coins, sadly my connection is so fast I only get one pass:(

Maybe they just added this. I downloaded 3 games right before Christmas and all I got was the normal "run to the right and collect the coins" download screen.

That sounds really cool though.

There's no water but the coins still come except the guys still just keep swimming above them not grabbing a one

I've actually seen that before,though it was only in a clip in an interview from Nintendo I read.

I think it's a good thing if Nintendo changes up the download screens every once and a while. It's certainly nothing Earth shattering but it's a fun little thing to add.

I've seen it. I want to say it was for Sin and Punishment. It was something special like that. i figured it was a special download and everyone would see it.

It really is the coolest because it's super rare and totally unique. Although, I do love shootin' fireballs. I've spent a good $300 on VC games though, so I've downloaded quite a lot of times.
