Mario & Luigi: Dream Team GS review

I'm looking foward to this game. I love all of the Mario & Luigi RPG games, this one looks great as well.

I hope they take off 2 points for  "same formula for past games" for GTA V, Splinter Cell Blacklist, COD Ghosts, etc.

Of course, they won't. The review doesn't matter but its funny how GameSpot consistently has writers make reviews that have like one fault then slash off points. It does at times feel like that only happens to Nintendo games but I've seen it happen to others. Remember Luigi's Mansion, 6.5?

Then it wouldn't be a mario & luigi game now would it? and if they're saying good things about all the stuff they added, tweaked, and changed then why knock it for that? Silly GameSpot

I just think reviewers / players are getting a little fatigued with this series. I still need to play Sticker Start (and Bower's Inside Story, for that matter). Not sure which game I'll get.

Awwww yeah, looks like the 3DS is kickin' it into over drive :D. Got pokemon to look forward to, gonna pick up Fire Emblem today, and now Mario and Luigi? It's gonna be hard to go to bed at night now hahaha xD.

One quick question, doesn't the game come out next month though? Or is that just the physical copy that comes out?

I will second that! Sticker Star is not a good Mario game.

As for the Mario and Luigi series, aside from PiT, it has been nothing short of spectacular. Superstar Saga was hilarious and a major breath of fresh air, and Bowser's Inside Story was so inventive it often bordered on insanity (the good kind of insanity, of course).

With that being said, and with how surprising the series has been, I am far from being tired of its formula. I want more of those games. :D

Nice score. Only downside is that I have to wait a month for it to release here in the States.

I will second that! Sticker Star is not a good Mario game.

Bowser's Inside Story, on the other hand, is brilliant, and Dream Team looks like the same basic premise but with totally new applications. It looks like a blast.

Can't wait. Mario RPGs are always awesome, and feature some near genious writing. I still need to play Partners in Time though... But it's sooooo expensive.

From the looks of it's scores so far it's not that great compared to the others.

Yet another game for the 3DS that was supposed to be a system seller is now only worth it at 50% off.

From the looks of it's scores so far it's not that great compared to the others.

How is an 8 a bad score? Especially when the only bad thing to say about the game (according to the GS review) is that it "follows the same formula?"

Basically, if you enjoy the MArio and Luigi games, you'll enjoy this game. How is that a bad thing?
