PS3 is my primary and the Wii is my secondary. As soon as I buy a new PS2, the Wii may turn into my third...ary console.
It's been a bad summer for the Wii .

Why buy a PS2 if you have a PS3, isn't PS3 backward compatible?

20GB and 80GB are through emulation. 60 is through hardware. 40 is not at all.

I see. Then I guess I know which one not to get if I buy a PS3...
I really don't know anybody that has the Wii only as their primary console. Everyone I know has another console and plays that console more than their Wii. Is it that the Wii is everyone's "secondary" console. Or is there people out there that just have a Wii. Speak up.RealKilla_789
First of all, fix your signatures. Secondly, the Wii is my primary console :P

That is the only one you will be able to buy if you get one.

They're discontinuing the 80GB?!
I play my wii more than my 360, but ive also had it longer. i would say my wii is my primary console, but it obviously cannot take over the territory of the 360 (DVD's and many games not available on wii)
The Wii is my primary console. PS2 is my secondary, SNES and Genesis are tertiary.Dr_Corndog
Holy crap first one to say tertiary instead of thirdary....
Wii is my primary and only console, and it's all I'll need since I don't want shooter after shooter on 360, I got better things to spend money on.Lord_Omikron666
Like Wii Fit?
I'm always alternating between my PS3 and my Wii... lately I haven't really done a whole lot with my little white box (you can thank Snake for that) but I want to finish Zack and Wiki and Okami, so I'll have to get on that.

The Wii is my primary console, because I don't own any other console, actually I never really had more than one system per generation, I wonder how much of a hassle is it to keep switching between systems and plugging and unplugging stuff.
but the reason I don't own a 360 is because of those RROD's, if my 360 RROD's than I'm screwed, I can't send it to Microsoft and I don't want to have a system that can self-destruct any second now.I thought the 360 Elite never RROD's... guess what it does, so until Microsoft makes the Anti-RROD 360, I'm not getting a 360.
and when it comes to the PS3, I don't know... not enough games that interest me, I mean there are some good games on the system like GTA4 and MGS4, but I can't find that many games on the system that interest me.
If I want to, I could get a PS3 by the end of this year, but... it might drive my dad crazy (he hates it when I buy systems)
wii is my primary, 360 is secondary
mainly because I have no interest in gears of war or call of duty...
No, it's my "tertiary" console... behind my PS3 and Xbox 360.
I'm a longtime Nintendo fan (i.e. since 1985 or so when I got my NES), but I dislike the direction they're going in. I really don't even mind about the graphics and such -- really, I think all these steps towards increased realism is negatively impacting the imaginativeness of games -- but I've got a few problems with the Wii.
1) The Wiimote is gimmicky, it's that simple. It should have been a peripheral like the NES zapper or the SNES super scope that is used with the games that actually BENEFIT from it being included (like Table Tennis, Wii Sports, etc). I realize they're doing this to a point with games like Smash Bros and Mario Kart, but you have to buy a SEPERATE controller, and if you want it to be a true wireless controller, you need to eBay a Wavebird because the Classic Controller forces you to be tethered to the Wiimote.
2) Speaking of being tethered, that's ridiculous. Not just the Classic Controller, the Nunchuck should be wireless out of the box. You shake the Wiimote to charge up your sword in No More Heroes and the cables all flipping up and hitting you in the face. And the cable is too short.
3) Not enough storage space for downloadables, and the pricing system is completely wacked for ROMs. $10 for an N64 game? I could probably get an N64 console on eBay for not much more than that. Granted, I don't have to use that dreadful N64 controller this way, but still. For a ROM?
4) Nintendo hasn't done enough to entice 3rd party devs to develop ORIGINAL (read: not PS2 ports) games for their console, apart from a piece of shovelware here and there. I love Mario Kart, Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy, but I think No More Heroes is the only 3rd Party game I liked enough to buy. I had Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, but that has horrible so I ditched it... that series went down the toilet fast.
Generic dude, I don't see what your problem with the nunchuk wire is. I have a wingspan of 6' 5" and I haven't had any trouble with the wire being "too short." (I don't stretch it out all the way, of course, but there's no need for me to do that while playing a game.) I agree with you about the storage space, though.
The Wii is my only this-gen console, and I like it a lot. Not that I don't like the other systems, but I really enjoy my collection of Wii games.
