In LOZ, do you prefer to play as child link or adult/teen link decided to dopoll

I am very curious about this, because I'm atm playing through Ocarina of Time (on the 3DS)after what feels like forever. I've just got the hookshot as Adult Link and I gotta say, I miss being a kid in the game. I feel a much bigger sense of adventure as a little kid, I don't know, I just like being a kid. I searched this and someone suggested that kids have a bigger more adventureous sense of the world and tackle it with a carefree nature. Makes sense I guess. I also love his sounds as opposed to the adult link's. For that matter, I hate those goddamn tights adult link wears in OOT.

What do you think? Why do I prefer to play a kid as opposed to an adult?

And which do you prefer? And I mean in any of the Zelda games.

I feel the same way in that child link gives a bigger sense of adventure. However, OoT was perfect in that he grows up and you fell more powerful when your older as well. Not a slow ageing process, but it still seems like Link develops over the course of the game. I like both to be honest. They both have their perks.

i dunno it depends on the games setting and story really. i loved OoT because it was a blend of the two. but MM was suitable for younglink, i didnt feel like there was a place for adult link in that game.

As mentioned, kid Link delivers a greater vibe of adventure and wonder. I also feel that games featuring adult Link tend to be compared with some "mature" franchises more often, as if people got the wrong idea of what Zelda is supposed to be.

I like Majora's Mask best so I will say child.

They're both awesome to play, but I prefer adult Link mainly for the 'grown up' weapons such as bow, hookshoot etc.

A Link with personality like in SS, or WW

Child Link.

Teen Link is kind of creepy, especially coupled with his mute miming.

When playing OoT I enjoyed playing as an adult more becuase you had a cooler and wider variety of weapons, tunics, and spells. That game was cool in the fact that you got to play as both and the story featuring time travel is one of the main reasons its still my favourite Zelda game.

However I've never played a Zelda game where it featured either child or adult and wished I was playing the other.

I don't find playing as a kid adds any sense of wonder that I don't get when playing as an adult. However, I do like both and developers should choose whatever suits the style of game. And they've been doing a good job of that, as others have already pointed out. I would never want them to continue using only one and not the other.

For 2D I don't really care since you can't tell anyway, but for 3D I prefer playing as an adult since it's easier for me to relate to. The child Link I liked in OoT and MM, but I didn't really care for playing as him in WW, because it completely downplayed everything the Hero of Time went through IMO. PH and SS I didn't care since the setting is supposed to be more cheerful and light hearted.

There was something that I found lovely about playing an young link. Not that I disliked playing adult Link mind you but there was something about links innocence and his growing from a young boy into an adventurer.

That and he's adorable :3
