It has shown me that motion controls can improve games (RE4 Mario Kart Zelda..)
And it can also ruin them ( Ultimate Allaince, and other gimmicky games)

I agree with BoB. Some games are ruined with motion sensing controllers.

As long as the next gen systems' controllers aren't desgined explicity for motion controls, things will be better. I love how some of the games used motion controls but god about 90% of them did it completey wrong and would be better using classic style. I am excited to see great graphics with good motion controls personaly.

It hasn't changed my view at all... Two words: Virtual Reality.

The Wii a good step in the right direction.

You're probably right. If they implement head tracking next generation, we'll be almost there.

The fututure is bleak. No more chainsaw guns, just mindless arm flailing and casual sports titles.

Well I think the motion controls, the pointing, and just many features of the Wii have made me more excited for the next generation. I mean, after playing games like Metroid Prime 3, imagining games like Wii Sports in the next generation, I think it's really exciting. I was really skeptical when I first saw Nintendo's controller in 2005 (was that the year?), but they've come a long way and really I'm just really looking forward to what they will dish out next.

It's kinda giving me a hint that we're getting closer to a higher-tech virtual reality style of gaming.

Yeah, I agree. It's pretty exciting to think what future generations of gaming could be like. I mean without the Wii we might have had a few more generations of same system more power. (Which isn't awful, but actual innovation is way better)

I always knew that trying something different would be better for gaming as a whole, and indeed it has enhanced quite a few games, but I also realized that revolutions don't happen instantaneously. The amount of bad Wii games shows the struggle for adaption, but I still believe like the DS, the Wii will reach gaming nirvana eventually. I just hope it doesn't go the way of the Dvorak keyboard.

The biggest thing the Wii has shown me is my future with Nintendo; one where I see less and less of them in my gaming career.
