I have had the nintendo wifi usb connector for about a month and a half, and it doesn't want to work half the time. sometimes when i put it in, it says the devise isn't recongized, and even if it works, sometimes i can't get the system registration thingy to come up, so i can't connect. also after it's pluged in the usb port for a few hours, it gets kinda hot and it doesn't wanna work anymore till it cools off.

is my connector jacked up, or are other people having some of these problems too?

I used to have the same problems but I discovered that connecting the adapter to the cable that came with it makes it work 100% of the time.

When I first hooked my USB connector up I couldn't get the DS to recognize it for the life of me. Then I noticed I still had ZoneAlarm turned on. I right-clicked on the icon (down by my clock) and chose "Shutdown ZoneAlarm". After this the DS recognized the USB connector immediately.

Afterwards, when ever you hook up the connector to play online, I always have to go to ZoneAlarm in the Start menu, turn it back on, and then right click the icon and use the "Shutdown ZoneAlarm" . I don't know why but it must still be running somewhere - even though I have it turned off in my startup list and I never see it running in Task Manager. Weird.

Anyway, I hope that helps someone.
