This is obviously your first AW game. The writings always been corny. But who cares? It's fun. No one plays any advance wars games for the story.AnOffday
Agreed. The writing has always been like that of an 80's action movie. Corny, over the top one liners and such. And it doesnt effect my view of the series in any way. I enjoy the fantastic turn based strategy, not the story. But, i personally didnt find the story all that bad anyways...
Yes It did sank my battleship... Im barely making it through the game. The story is killing meee....Envig
So press the freaking start button when its a story part and get over it!
And the advance wars series has always carried an e rating.
Yes, press the start button.
Though, I will say that I am also a little disappointed in the story for Days of Ruin. It is because they made such a big deal before the game was released that DOR was going to have an all new type of story, darker and better, etc. The story definitely didn't not live up to its hype. It's really just the same old story and dialogue that all the other games had. It just has a different color scheme and different people than usual. But as others pointed out, this is not really a game that you play for its story. I'm enjoying the gameplay, though I miss the old COs.
I was expecting a ton of new things...especially a better story ( I mean they promised it to be more grown up, darker...yeah right).
But I still have a Fire Emblem DS to look forward to.
