Harvest Moon: Rune Factory

Well this game just has me puzzled and i was wondering if there is anyone who could help me. well see ive been playing the game for a while now and i bought like five books from the liberary and i was wondering if there was a way to read them/ how are they worth buying? cause i think its stupid if you but a 6000 book and you cant even read it or anything. well thats pretty much it. so if you could help me that would be great. :-)
