My mother's birthday is coming up and I'd like to get her a couple of easy going games for the DS that require very little reading, since her english isn't all that great.

So far I've bought these games for her in the past year:

- Meteos

- Tetris

- Point Blank

- Picross

- Big Brain Academy

I'm thinking of buying (for her):

- Cooking Mama

- Gunpey

- Quickspot

- Zoo Keeper

Are there any other ones out there that can be suggested? I feel the list I came up with is quite weak

Are you sure your Mom would be interested in playing videogames? Personally, I wouldn't want my parents to play.... Ahem, anyways, if you're sure... how about New Super Mario Bros.?

Well, if she's Japanese, maybe get her Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten (it's a REALLY helpful Kanji dictionary).

But, if she doesn't want something like that, get her Gunpey or something.

P.S. My mom plays games too, she still has her NES :P.

Agreed. New Super Mario Bros. would be perfect! Also Brain Age/2.

I hate closing this thread, but it does belong in the floated recommendation thread

For what it's worth I'd recommend to you Cooking Mama & Brain Age 2
