So i went to the critic score section in gamespot for SMG2 and it says that EDGEmagazine gave it a 10/10 and Game informer gave it a 9.25.
Opinions?

[QUOTE="AfterBurnerZ"]Lol they did? :lol:Didn't Game Informer dock it points because it was too hard? lol.

Wow, they just had to find SOMETHING to complain about, didn't they? Either way, that's still a great score.
doesn't edge give hard reviews? Didn't FF13 get a very low score? GI is a very pro sony mag, which isn't a bad thing but it is what it is. This kind of score coming from Edge sounds impressive.

thats true. i would still buy and play this game regardless of the scores on any website anyway.
FF XIII got a 5/10 MGS4 got a 7/10 galaxy 2 got a 10/10 they sold me the game (not that i wouldn't buy it before :P)doesn't edge give hard reviews? Didn't FF13 get a very low score? I believe so.. but hard to tell by just judging from FF13 review.. as it got low scores from several sources. I wouldn't expect anything less than a 9.0 for SMG2. A first true sequel.doesn't edge give hard reviews? Didn't FF13 get a very low score? GI is a very pro sony mag, which isn't a bad thing but it is what it is. [QUOTE="Nuck81"]8.5 on Gamespotintro94first party game?nah Gamespot doesnt have the gutts to do that. They know if they do the players will think they are incompetent. You'd be surprised. I can bet they'll mark it down for being 'more of the same' and 'too hard'. And then I'll look at the Super Street Fighter 4 review and laugh.
Remember when just looking at the back of a game made you decide whether or not to buy it? Ah, the good old days.
you used to do that because you were young and obviously wouldn't read reviews, which resulted in potential purchases you probably regret.Remember when just looking at the back of a game made you decide whether or not to buy it? Ah, the good old days.

You're young, it's ok. nintendo power was out with the NES (biased, but whatever, it's a review). sure the industry was small, but magazines about games were always around. sure the more serious ones took a while to show up, but they were still there. and it doesn't make the fact that just looking at the boxart to get it would lead to many regretable purchases.Remember when just looking at the back of a game made you decide whether or not to buy it? I read teh review. The guy comments on how SMG2 is basically teh same as SMG1, SMG2 barely innovates, and then say that the best things in the game were the old things or something like that. The guy kind of contradicts himself. It wasn't a very good review basically.
I read the review, and the reviewer did complain about it being to hard. Also, GI is the worst mag I have ever read, their quality is worse than IGN's.
Wow.
Game Infomer gave it LESS points because it was too hard?
They probably didn't want it scoring close to Red Dead Redemption because some games can't be as good as it. -.-
