Hi, im considering buying a 3DS. So, as the title said, what should be my first game?

A safe first game would be pokemon x or y because those games are timeless. But if you're not into pokemon you would want to get a game with good replay value like Mario cart, super Mario or fire emblem.. Either a repeatable game or a Long game to beat such as bravely default, monster hunter or again fire emblem...
You can also get those family games which never get old, all the Mario ones and spin offs are good
Kennysal's suggestions are all solid. It would be a lot easier to give recommendations, TC, if you told us your favorite genres, favorite games and all that good stuff.
@neonakaa: Alright. I'll recommend Fire Emblem Awakening. Even today I'm still amazed by its production value and how incredibly polished it is.
If I had to recommend just one game to you, I would say Fire Emblem Awakening. A very very close second is Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. But seriously, there are so many great games on 3DS that you just need to get right to work and start playing them all!
depends on what games you like
of course A Link Between Worlds just came out, I think that's a safe bet, also recommend Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
you might also like Star Fox 3D and Ocarina of Time 3D if you played them on the N64, I personally think they still hold up quite well
there's Resident Evil: Revelations and I see you have a snake avatar so maybe Snake Eater 3D
and if you love JRPGs there's lots to pick from like Soul Hackers, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and Project X Zone, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Bravely Default, and upcoming games like Persona Q
if you never had a DS there's that entire library of great games to pick from and they're abundant used and they'd look quite good on a 3DS XL if that's what you have, in the Legend of Zelda series there was Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, the handful of Ace Attorney games
if you haven't bought your 3DS yet I highly recommend the XL
