If you want a traditional role-playing experience, definitely go with FFIV. In fact I wouldn't even label Animal Crossing as an rpg, more of a Sims type game.
Is there even a comparison here? Why are all these threads popping up with, Final Fantasy IV vs. (some random game here). I don't get it. Read reviews. Do your research.
However in the interest of staying on topic, Final Fantasy IV. Buy it.
