I heard Final Fantasy was good. I have echoes of time and i pretty much enjoyed it along with the WiFi gameplay where you can explore areas with different people around the world but i don't think that its worth $40 total.
Tao's Adventure is an old game that got mediocre reviews but I found it pretty fun. It's basically your character, some spells/equipment/potions, two companion pets, and a dungeon tower.
The main one I like is Diablo 2. Anything similar to that?

No, you'll need a PSP for that. In that note, people have mentioned first person dungeon crawlers that, in my mind, are superior to anything cloned such as Dungeon Explorers or Soma Bringer. I purchased a PSP purposely for dungeon crawlers (a few good ones on PS2 also), but for the DS I would follow everyones advice and try out Etryian Odyysey, The Dark Spire, or The Deep Labyrinth. Looking at screen shots and videos, you'll be turned off; however, the core gameplay of a dungeon crawler is explore, kill, loot, repeat and that's plenty sufficient in the titles mentioned. At least try it.. once.. for me??.. ok did it for your DS- you owe it that much.
