I have an ethernet cord, but not a Wii. Is there a way I could hook my Wii up to my modem to get online for the Wii?

A guy's asking the same question here. The answer is, unless you buy a Wii broadband adapter, you can only connect wirelessly. After you buy the adapter, you can then plug your ethernet cord to your modem.

Can you post a link to where I can buy a broadband adapter, and what exactly it is?

Its this right here, you just plug it into one of the USB ports on back of your wii and then plug your ethernet into that.

Oops! Sorry; it's called the "LAN Adapter", and retails for $30 at EBgames.com. Basically, you plug it in to one of the two USB ports on the back of the Wii, and then plug in your ethernet cable.
