I don't know, I havn't really noticed any problems. I imagine if it was actually an issue though, we would have heard about it through gamespot or some other media outlet already.

That rattling could be the buttons moving around. The B button moves quite a bit, and the Z button on the nunchuck always makes quite a lot of noise.

It was designed to be shaken so I'm pretty there would be tons of complaints by now if that caused any problems. From what I've heard wiimotes are pretty tough.I've heard that people have accidently thrown them and broken other things(like their tvs) while their wiimotes remained unscathed.

Nintendo designed the controler for movement. Shaking it won't break the thing.

No, it wont, trust me. The rattling is probably the plus and minus buttons. Don't worry about it and just enjoy the game.

It shouldn't break but if it does Nintendo would just send you a new one.

I highly doubt that you have anything to worry about with shaking the Wiimote. This is actually kind of an interesting statement on people's mindsets when it comes to electronics, video game consoles in particular. The 360 has everyone worried that using a product the proper way, for its intended purpose, will cause it to fail.

. Funny. Besides, you shouldn't really be shaking the controller too hard.

I suppose if you gave the remote a big enough jolt, a component could separate from the printed circuit board, but then it would probably just stop working. The only way to prevent wear and tear to the remote would be to not use it, and what's the point of that? I wore out a few N64 and GC controllers, so I plan on having to buy a replacement controller or two for my Wii.

You don't think that Nintendo put the Wiimote in a sort of paint shaking machine and counted how many times they could shake it until something went wrong with it?

Seeing as it's a piece of equipment designed to be moved, shaken, etc...I'm guessing not.

Now I love my Dyson even more...only vacuum to have if you have pets. lol On topic I think youd really have to beat the snot out of yur controllers to break em. I don't think shaking is gonna do it.

I think it's quite a stretch to think that Nintendo would make a stack of games where you move and shake the controller without making sure they made the controller sturdy enough to handle it.
