Does Pokémon Z-Ring work on 2DS?

Hi all. Can't seem to find a straight answer for this anywhere:

Does the Pokémon Z-Ring accessory for Pokémon Sun & Moon work on the 2DS?

We have the Nintendo NFC reader/writer that we use for amiibo on 2DS, but we're not sure if this set up will work for the Z-Ring.

If anyone knows I'd really appreciate an answer. Thanks :)

@Conjuration: Yeah it does. It will even sync with Youtube since it works by sound.

@iandizion713: thanks for your help. A relative bought it as a gift for my son. We're going there later and I just wanted to make sure my boy could actually use it for his game. Really appreciate your help iandizion.

Hi All. My son has the Z Ring how do we get it to work. Do we have to find things or pokemon for it to work. We been trying to get it to move but nothing is happening.
