Does anyone still play GBA games on their DS?

I still do. Out of no where I started thinking about Zelda, A Link to the Past and remembered I bought the GBA version of it so I started playing it and it brought back great memories as it has everytime I played through it.

I also go back and play the GBA Metroids.

I think DSi not having the GBA slot brings it down a bit. I bet they will have an option to download GBA eventually on DS Shop but why pay money again for games we already have?

I never actually thought of that, but that is quite plausable.

Not me I use my GBA Micro to play those games and I use My GBA SP to play all GB & GBC games.

I for one can't wait till the DSi comes out because I only use slot 2 for my rumble pack which just makes a loud noise instead of rumbling..

I don't really play them anymore, but I'm sure I'll get those moments like you where I'm like, "I wanna play Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga again" which is why the lack of GBA support on the DSi is a big negative. Nintendo knows they can vacuum up money with the DSi by having that download junk on it, which will eventually turn into rereleases of other games. Not falling for it Nintendo  I also like being able to transfer junk from Sapphire to Pearl and any other extras GBA and DS games have. Good thing I'm not getting a DSi.

I don't think I've even played a GBA game since I got my DS phat. The loss of the GBA slot means nothing to me, so I'll probably get a DSi.

Not at the moment, but I sometimes want to go back to A Link to the Past, Fire Emblem and Metroid Fusion. Awesome, awesome games, and I'm very glad I can play them on the DS.

Nope,I play all my GBA games on my GBA SP,which gets more overall play time out of my two handhelds (although my DS has been getting a lot more attention now that I've bought Elite Beat Agents).

I got rid of most of my GBA games when I got the DS (Phat). I still have one or two that I play when the mood strikes me.

i still play them on my ds, i got about 30 to 40 gba games so being able to play them on my ds is kinda important to me. And ive recently seen alot of good gba games for pretty cheap at target and other stores too. I just picked up drill dozer from target for like 8$ and i also recently bought the castlevania double pack offebay. But i could see if you weren't really into playing old gba games on your ds, the change in the dsi might not mean much but to each there own.

I really wish Nintendo didn't ship it so early in Japan... they could've reconsidered the GBA slot. :( Off topic response to xraystar in spoiler:
Oh it is very possible. You just have to concentrate on what you want it to do and it will do it. The first time I saw it, I was like, "It's obviously spinning CCW, how could anyone see it the other way!?" Then I came back to it a few days later and it switched. Now I can voluntarily change it's direction. Try closing your eyes and imagine the way you want her to spin in your mind, hopefully you'll get it. :P oh and CCW = using your right brain (logical/reasoning) while CW = using your left brain (creative)
I play a lot my GBA game, but not on my DS. The DS button configuration is not the best for GBA titles. Despite the better screen, I preffer playing them on my GBA SP.

Heck yeah I do. The SP screen just pales in comparison to my ds lite's screens. The only reason I still have the SP is so I can play GBC games, since I sold my GBC a while back. I'll never be selling my DS Lite.

"Doom", "Doom II", "Castle Wolfenstein 3D", "Tiger Woods PGA Tour", "Pinball of the Dead"... oh yeah, I still use that GBA slot. GBA games looking better on a DS Lite screen is why I bought it. The games I've purchased for the DS specifically since have been great too... but portable "Doom" has always been at the forfront of my hand-held purchasing. Always will be.

I'll stick with my DS Lite until I can find legal, well-ported copies of the iD Software games on a more convenient system... that should happen about the 12th of Never given the way things are going... SO glad I bought before all of this DSi nonsense. I like the new features of the DSi, I just don't see the beauty of getting rid of the GBA slot past ergonomic design needs.

Well, I guess it does mess up the hackers a bit too because then they lose their best friend.

More so than DS titles at the moment. I like playing them more on the DS with its backlight since I never picked up the GBA SP.

I use my SP more for GBA games, just because it's still around and it's smaller than the DS. I'm really digging Golden Sun right now and having the SP to just toss in my bag or stick in my pocket is really nice.

Uh I still play the FF's 4 and 6, Pokemon and Mario World. These games are timeless for me.
