Of The Old GBA Games?

I really do miss my pokemon Fire version and some other rpg games.

Now as for the topic and poll do you agree with my statement that there should remakes?

No they should be spending their time, effort, and money on brand new games, not remakes. Also, the DS has a GBA Cartridge slot, so why don't you look for and buy the GBA game and play it straight from there, that's what its made for.

Maybe, if we're talking about games that were never made outside of Japan.

Use the GBA slot, unless you want a DSi then you better hope for a "Virtual Gameboy" because I doubt they'll remake GBA games.

Nope. they should keep the tradition of the GBA and make remakes of Snes games. We got CT, what's sweet. But where's my Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG, Mario The Lost Levels, etc etc?

No. They should make new games. If I want to play GBA games, I'll just buy them on GBA.

Remake the old Metal Gear games! Some of them didn't come out of Japan! They should remake them with better features, maybe even 3-D Graphics instead of 2-D graphics which the old games used!

Well, porting them and releasing them as packs would be cool. Like a Castlevania pack with all three GBA ones, or a Mega Man Zero pack with all 4... I'd totally buy that!

yeah I totally agree with child_of_lileth, GBA games are just too recent to be remade. I want to see more remakes of SNES games.

Yeah that would be nice, especially since I've never played the original Metal Gear game, and if they do decide to remake it for the NDS it's definitely something I would be interested in.

Thats more like it! I got an Metal Gear Solid using an Metal Gear 2-D MSX2 style and layout will some MGS PS1 features on Gameboy Colour! Lolz But they need to remake them for us that need to know why it all blasted off! And it would work wonders on NDS if they use 3-D Graphics maybe? And all that the NDS is capiable of!

He says he actually wants to dump Metal Gear series, cause its quite old and start an MMO of an Zombie Survival game online! I think he should do that, cause the Metal Gear series is starting to wear down on quality!

No, I'd rather see new IPs instead of just remakes. Plus it's like another user said, gba games are still too recent.

Kinda think about it, I would like for 1 GBA game remake, & that is Grand Theft Auto Advance. But instead of the DS, make it for the Wii with full 3D graphics.

Question. By remakes, do you mean the exact same game, just playable on DS, or using the touch screen, enhanced sound and visual etc?

Not GBA, but maybe GBC, or as someone said earlier, a Virtual Gameboy. I would love to be able to play LoZ: Oracle of Seasons on DS, though.

Definitely not. There are games that deserve remakes immeasurably more such as G/S/C. The concept works on Wii because the remakes will introducing new gamers to the series. But on DS people already know what Pokemon, Fire Emblem, etc are so remakes should be restricted to consoles that where made more than one generation back. Besides, these games are already playable through the GBA slot and when the DSi comes out they are likely to be available on a "virtual handheld".

I think they should do more newer games, though I some remakes are nice even though they are not necessarily GBA games (Chrono Trigger). I know that the remakes of FF V and VI are going to happen, probably a while from now. When and if they do come out (Final Fantasy I mean) I truly hope that they improve on the in-game graphics. I mean III and IV looked pretty much the exact same to me, and I hope V and VI do not look like that. I couldn't stand the way the characters were, they looked kinda weird in some way. The DS now with some of the games coming out has definitely enough technology to make the characters in a game look like a regular console. There is enough technological capability to make a game look like Final Fantasy X when it first came out.

Other than my FF ramble, I do think that games are worth remaking, just that shouldn't be the majority of a company. New games with innovation is what people want, though a remake never hurts.
