The Wii has three times as many AAA titles, and many more AA titles and A titles. It's not inferior to it, they're pretty equal in my mind for what they are. Both great platforms as a console and handheld respectively. But if you judged the DS as harshly as a console, then it is actually inferior due to the fact that it has 3 original AAA games (GTA: CW, Legend of Zelda: PH, and Advanced Wars Dual Strike), 5 if you include remakes and DSiWare apps (Chrono Trigger and Flipnote Studio).
No the Wii is better then the DS, it only sells more because it's portable & more of a carry on then the Wii, also families would need to buy more then 1 to keep everyone happy. The Wii is more of stay at home system, & often neglected by others, & quite possibly the motion control isn't fully caught on yet.
For me, I have had much more fun, generally looked forward to releases more, with my DS than my Wii. I think part of the problem is that the quality of Wii games is terribly uneven. There are a fair amount of good games, a few truly excellent games, and an incredible amount of stinking shovelware.
I used to prefer my DS more, but now I find it inferior to my Wii. I just play Nintendo's current home console A LOT more these days. I also enjoy it A LOT more.
I wish. However, that would require Wii developers to make more quality games at a far more consistent pace, and they seem incapable of doing that on the system. I'm more of a console person, but if I had every DS game I was interested in, I could probably have a library of games that surpass any of my other systems. It makes no sense as to how many solid titles the thing has managed to acquire. The Wii, on the other hand, makes it a challenge at times to find something appealing, and this is coming from someone that really likes the thing.
Why these two systems have such different libraries when their gaming philosophies are so similar is beyond my understanding...
I actually think you can. I mean you can make a slash across your DS screen to do something and you slash across your tv (just not touching it) to make something happen in your wii game. the wii mote is kinda like a stylus with buttons.
they are really different systems, but if you're talking about product quality and popularity, the first one just needs a couple more months, the second one is already there. the wii is the most popular console ever.
wen u list the pros vs. the cost of each of them, it its like there the same. pros for wii: better graphics, wireless controlers. can play gamecube games so u can sell the gamecube and keep the games. cons for wii: home console, impossible to use on the go. games cost, at retail price, between 20 and 50 dollars. pros for ds: handheld. can b lused at home or on the run. can also play gameboy games so that you can sell ur gameboy and keep the games. cons for ds: its got really small screens, and the graphics for most games are horrible. games r expensive (just like wii) and u can misplace and lose them/ the handdheld. its all on how u wanna use it.
