i just got a cobalt black DS lite, and i want to save my screen, i was looking at hori hori protectors, will that gurard my screen from scratches? Are they good quality, and do you recommend them?
hori screen protectors are AWESOME. they fit right, are basically invisible, and add an very slightly springy layer that doesn't mark/scratch up like the screen does eventually. you can also buy them at Fry's without having to go online or anything, if you've got one nearby. honestly, basically everything Hori makes for the DS is pretty well awesome, including their cases and accessories.
Yes, Hori protectors are great. I've had one on my DS for a few months now, and it still protects the screen perfectly. And you basically can't tell it's there after getting used to the feel.
I don't use the Hori screen protectors. Mine works just fine. It blocks dust, and I don't get scratches on my screen. The only problem is that it was a bit smaller than the DS screen, so I have a little buildup of dust at the edges, and when using the touch screen, when I hit the place where the protector ends, it doesn't really register. I suppose I could try to reposition it...
Where do you get them? I live in Denver and am not seeing them at GAmeStop/Best Buy DoctorDuffy
Play-Asia or eBay. Most retailers are too dumb to carry a quality accessory like this, instead opting for crappy screen protectors that leave gunk on your screen. EBGames used to carry them, but they may have stopped after the merger with Gamestop.
