Sorry for the stupid question, but I've been enjoying Klonoa for the last few days and I'm wondering did it sell, well, at least enough for Namco to release a remake of Klonoa 2?

VGChartz (say what you want about them, but they're the best we've got) puts it at around 70,000 units sold, and put the original two games at 170,000 and 80,000 units sold, respectively.

Given that I have no idea what expectations were on the part of Namco Bandai, I can't really say much more than that. :P

Yikes :D it's a shame, because it's a great game, with a surprisingly mature story and it gets pretty challenging later on

No matter how good it is, its just a port with better looking graphics. If it was a sequel, with some depth and was actually had, then it may have done better. if u want a good 2.5d platfomer, try Wario Shake. Its good, but short as well.

No, it didn't and now you're making me feel bad for not buying it. Maybe I'll pick it up when it drops to $19.99. I've heard great things about it.

I can't wait to get the game. It looks just like the type games I like and look forward to coming out. As soon as I seen the videos of this game I knew it would be one to get and immediately added it to my "want" list.

I still plan to buy it but have been restraining myself from buying any games for a little while so that I can catch up on my backlog :-(

Oh, as far as whether or not it has sold well, I don't think it has. It's unfortunate because I think it looks like a really good game and if this doesn't sell well we aren't going to see many more like these games in an already weak type of games.

It looks pretty good. I'm kind of interested myself.

I can't imagine their expectations were dramatically high since it was a remake of an unpopular series, and wasn't it originally going to be a Wiiware game at one point? The dev costs couldn't have been to much. I'm sure they're doing all right with it.
