I want to clean the touch screen of my DS (bought it last week) and i was wondering if its really a good idea to clean it using a mild wet cloth. My friend borrowed it from me and when he returned it the touch screen was full of dirt and thumb marks.

I'd say that'd be fine provided that you only make it the least little bit wet. You don't wanna drench the thing. Keep a dry cloth on hand to wipe up the residue once you're done cleaning it with the wet one (or just keep half of the cloth dry; that works too).

Yeah! BEcause you never ever ever ever ever ever EVER want to see dirt and dust and marks on your screens, you can use a screen protector for instance. I'm not sure with my "ever ever"

Microfiber microfiber microfiber

Only use microfiber on the DS and all electronics (plus anything like glasses)

They are a Godsend when it comes to cleaning something and not damaging it.

I would do that. You can clean it with a towel too.

I just use a clean part of my shirt, and it does just fine, no scratches, well none on the screen anyways.

I use the cloth that came with my DS clean and protect kit.

I also suggest getting screen protectors, so you don't have to worry about the touch screen getting scratched or dirty.

def use the microfiber cloth, they are the best. they clean great and leave no damage. i would not trust using a wet cloth, it might seep under the screen.

Yea, i use those pieces of cloths that are used to wipe spectacles for cleaning my DS's screen.
This are like the best for cleaning "glass" surfaces.

I use a microfiber cloth. For tough spots, I put one drop of water on the cloth. Works great.
