In 3-4 days Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker sold just over 28,000 copies in Japan. I hadn't thought about how it would sell but this seems like a decent enough number. I am guessing that it will have stronger sales in North America.

Is Nintendo thinking this will sell 100k? I doubt it sells much more than that. I'll end up buying it, I love a good puzzle game.

Its kinda funny that the most strange, niche place in all of gaming can't appreciate a good niche game. It has to be one if the big boys to sell there.

Either way I look forward to this game.

Excited for this game. Haven't played a good puzzler/platformer in awhile.

In Japan, home consoles are themselves niche.

Bummer... took Toad all of these years to finally star in a game, and it just so happens to be on the Wii U. Unfortunately, like 95% of the titles on the system, the ceiling for this title from a commercial perspective isn't high at all. I can't say I see things looking much better for Captain Toad outside of Japan once it hits retail. The truth is that the console it's on just isn't kind to anything but the premiere Nintendo franchises, which don't even meet expectations all the time.

I'd get it if I had a Wii U, but I still haven't been convinced to make that jump yet...
