audio cables for WiiU?

How do you get the sound to run through a speaker system? I see the wiiu has a port for another cable, can I use the audio visual cable that came with the original wii to get the sound to come out of my speakers?

I dont think you can use that cable if youre using the HDMI cable. You need to plug the Wii U into the tv then run audio cables from the tv to your surround sound. Or plug the Wii U into the surround sound and run a video cable back to the tv. Depends on your surround sound device.
