This game would be an utter masterpiece if not for the first 5-7 hours of gameplay.

Playing through it on switch and loving it.....after the first few sequences.

This makes me scream for a port or remaster of black flag for switch.

Black flag is the best game if the franchise.

The franchise never pulled me but I watched someone on YT play it on Switch and it looked alright.

@Solaryellow: it took a big nosedive in quality at the beginning of this gen.

Odyssey is better, but doesn't really feel like an assassin's Creed game

Two things:

1.) Being able to play during the Revolutionary War era seems quite fun as I enjoy that part of history and learning about it. The gameplay was not a put off or at least what parts I saw.

2.) A fairly open world game seems like something fun on Switch as it is a break from some of the other common open-world yet unavailable titles on Switch.

@Solaryellow: I played it on PS3 when it first came out. This is my first time playing it since then.

Botw changed how I play games. I take things much more slowly now.

The world building is pretty good, but like you said the best part is seeing the revolutionary war and taking a small part in it.

In a lot of ways the game is dated. It introduces a lot of ideas and concepts that seem rudimentary now, but only because those ideas have been fleshed out and developed in the following years.

But yeah. Switch is screaming for a Black Flag port.
