hell no. i'd rather spend a thousand or more dollars for real drums and some lessons than play wii music embarrasing myself like the dude that played the drums in the E3 conference.
i always thought that miyamoto is like fine wine "it only gets better with age" but i guess thats not happening.
WTF is Nintendo doing? They are selling us out, making a quick buck from casual gamers who may buy this retarded piece of crap out of interest but will soon realise 'why am i sittin in front of a screen trying to orchestrate music when i can just enjoy listening to it...?' They will pick up and 'play' until they realise either how stupid they look or how diabolically boring it is! Im holding out for a few decent looking third party tites myself but after the E3 catastrophe i've realised Nintendo doesn't really have anything good on the horizon.
It really is a shame for the hardcore audience who have supported Nintendo thru and thru for years on end, yet they're washing away good franchises by changing their image to 'Everyone can play!' Mario Kart is a prime example....What the hell have they done??? It's a coin toss who wins a race... no real challenge, no extreme skill involved. Just a few blue shells in a row, a lightning, a bullit bill and you've recovered from last to first!
It seemed to have started when GCN was behind PS2 and XBOX. Sony and Microsoft started to appeal to more hardcore gamers than Nintendo, releasing more adult orientated games, Ninty decides to go for the lower end of the market age group, which in turn had a profound effect on third party developers who drop their support as a result.
Im not saying they should stop releasing casual games, but maybe they should concentrate a bit more on pleasing the very gamers who made them who they were back when they ruled the market.
