Whwn we were at top, we had HUGE third party, great rpgs, awesome platformers and more.  Ah, but finally the wii is doing that aggain, and hopefully, soon we will be at top once again!  Sorry if taht sounded sort of cheesy

The Snes was most definately the best console ever made and probably the best generation in my opinion. But I'm not bothered who's market leader, I just get the console's with the best games.

ah yes, the Third and Forth generation's, also called the Gloden Era of Console game.

Those were that day's, There will never a War like Nintendo Vs. Sega Again.

I agree.  Although Genesis did have it's share of greats as well, SNES was where it was at.

What I find funny is that the arguments for console wars really hasn't changed much since then.

ah i remember so clearly my dad was working in the states and the snes came out and he bought it on launch and when he came home at xmas he gave it to me it came with super mario world i hope the wii is totally like that in the future seems like it may be .. but  what a console the snes was ..best ever

I'm still livin' them! right next to my wii are my NES and SNES which I play regularly. Old School 4 LIFE!!!

oh yeah. the first rpg i played was dragon warrior for the nes. i remember staring in awe watching the wizard, where super mario brothers 3 was revealed, and i couldn't believe it! that summer, i saved up popsicle sticks and saved up enough points to send away for it. i felt on top of the world when it arrived...

In my case, Nintendo and Sega were brothers to me. I was not a fanboy at that time. Oh wait, because of that I'm now a NIntendo/Sega fanboy. If Sega was still there, it will be a pleasure to buy their system with the Wii.

I had more fun on the 16 bits era than the console we have right now.
