Never heard of the game, but by the look of those blurry pictures it could be possible that the game could be released on VC.RandomWarrior69They did that on purpose so you have to buy the issue.

You really should read the text that accompanies the picture on the link that was kindly put up.
There's no reason to be an ass to him. The TC should have put the information from that link in the original post but he didn't even have the link. Someone else posted the link. TC's need to think about things and put all of the information in the OP's. Then we don't have problems with things like this.[QUOTE="Nomad0404"][QUOTE="RandomWarrior69"]Never heard of the game, but by the look of those blurry pictures it could be possible that the game could be released on VC.channtheman1

Game Overview: A boy and his blob returns with an all new game play experience! True to the NES version, playing the boy, you feed your Blob jelly beans and watch it transform into cool and useful objects to solve puzzles and escape danger. With its robust and emotionally driven story, challenging puzzles, and visually impressive art $tyle a boy and his blob is nothing short of a heartwarming experience. Features: Originally created for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989 by award-winning game designer David Crane (Pitfall!). Experience the charming story through an all-new, hand drawn and painted animated presentation designed exclusively for Wii. Teamwork is key. The boy has limited movement and range, so you must use your Blob friend to transform into useful objects to get to things or places the boy cannot access alone. 15 new Jelly Beans including Caramel Cannon and Bubble Gum Bubble and cla$ic beans like the Licorice Ladder, Apple Jack, and Tangerine Trampoline transform the Blob into different tools including: a ladder, trampoline, parachute, cannon, shield and more! Travel through the Blobolonia Outskirts to the Emperor's Citadel in four breathtaking worlds featuring 40 levels filled with hidden treasures! Battle the baddies and evil bosses that terrorize Blobolonia, including the Serpent, Quadruped Beast, and even the Blobolonian Emperor himself! Celebrate a boy and his blob's 20th Anniversary with unlockable bonus content.
Wow, I'm impressed. I never played the NES game, but I always wanted to because I'd always see it in my Game Genie code book on the first page. ;)
The art style alone already makes me have to take a serious look at it.
more screens once again, this time from IGN:

besides the awesome 2d, I'm really liking the lighting
Wow! This game looks Awesome with a capital "A!" I love it developers take this kind of approach when it comes to 2D games on modern-age systems. Granted, you can never take a game's screenshots for much, but if the game itself is anywhere near as impressive as the game's art style, we're in for a treat here! That little boy and his blob has just officially gotten my attention. :D
Man those screens are great and I especially like this one
I can't wait to see what the jelly bean flavor is for the canon!
It's being made by WayForward, who also made Contra 4 for the DS, Lit for WiiWare, and Shantae for Game Boy Color. I know those games are all vastly different from each other and from Boy and his Blob, but it at least shows that they have some talent. Aside from those games, WayForward has worked on a bunch of (probably) low-budget licensed games like SpongeBob, Shrek, and Looney Tunes. Of their games that GS has reviewed, most are in the 7.0-8.0 range.
So far the game has impressive visuals and a somewhat proven developer behind it.... I'm excited.

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised when I found this out earlier today. Maybe it's just me, but it appears that Wayforward is quietly gaining some steam and trying to finding its way on the Wii right now. If its previous titles are any indication, I think this game will end up as a solid addition to the Wii library. Seeing as how the developer has already made one great retro revival with the Contra series, it gives me reason to believe that this game is in good hands. The art direction was the first step in making this a promising title, but I'm now waiting to see some footage of the game to see how fluid and polished the gameplay is. I can't recall the last time I've had a feeling like the one I'm having right now, but I can't help but admire this game and hope it manages to evolve into a worthwhile experience. :)
