Well currently and historically there has never been any amazing talent and wide reciever for the Chiefs. Dante Hall is not really all that talented at wide reciever, but is hands down the best return man that I have ever seen and will probably be the best historically. And seeing as he's a TE Tony Gonzalez would not fall into this question. If it was about favorite TEs, I'd go with Tony, Antonio, and Todd.

BTW...my list is not at all biased...it's about who your FAVORITE is...not who's the best.

He's still a TE...he's rarely ever moved out to the WR position. He dominates at TE and he would never play WR.

can you really say that when Al Saunders is at the helm of this offense, and he is a reciever, one of his primary responsibilities is to catch the ball, and with his stats last year he was better than a majority of WR's

He says he plays Tight End, that's where he lines up 95% of the time and regardless of the ridiculous numbers he puts up, he's still a TE, dude.

No, I'm really not. I'm giving him props for basically being the best TE in NFL History. I'm just saying that he's a TE, not a WR. And Antonio Gates is right up there with elite TEs...even though that's only concerning his first great year.

gates is awesome no doubt about that. my point is that Tony G has lined up in the splint end position, marc boericter is often a split end. I've seen Joey porter do it too.

here's an intersting tidbit; watch NFL live, watch the scroll at the bottom of the screen. they list top 5's by postion according to stats. Gonzales is listed as the #3 WR in the league.

its tue that tony is a tight end but al saunders often lines him up as an H-back then shifts the formation to where Tony is playing SE or even wider. like this...

1 TGCGT (TE)(SE) 3

1,SE, & 3 are all WRs

You follow the Chiefs a lot more closely than I do, so I trust you on your information on the Chiefs' O. Coordinator Al Saunders. But A LOT of teams around the League do similar things when utilizing their TEs. I'm just saying that if he always lined up against cornerbacks, he would not be as effective as he is at the TE position when matched against LBs.

your right about that. Denver assigned champ bailey to cover TG throughout the first game they played last season. obviously that was a mismatch that ended up in denver's favor. but that says something about the offense and tony. they (denver) assigned a shut down corner to follow TG anywhere on the field because he lines up inside/outside, it doesnt matter. just realize that, most teams would make do with their best linebacker or safety trying to cover TG
