He has informed NY Jets that he will not return for the 2009-2010 season.

Personally, I think he should have retired as a Packer but nonetheless, I wish him the best. I think he should get a TV job and perhaps he may work at the booth with Troy Aikman and Joe Buck? We'll see.

I think it will be cool to see Strahan and Brett working together though. Make it happen people!

Better now before his INT record overtakes his TD's. It'll be interesting to see how Jets do this year now with a new coach and who knows who QB'ing the team.

Matt Cassel could have been just perfect for the Jets.. It would have been a good tv to see Cassel vs. Brady but.. sigh.. too bad

I suppose I should weigh in on this as our Union's Jets fan. WOOHOO! YES! FINALLY! Now to try and groom either Kellen Clemens or Brett Ratliff or maybe(not likely) Matt Cassel. It'll be another interesting season. Glad I didn't buy a Favre jersey, those guys have to feel like idiots now.

The Jets can still trade for Cassel for whatever they willing to offer depending of course on whether they can fit him under thier current cap situation whatever that may be.

haha rumor is he wants to go to Minnesota. The conspiracy goes something like this: once the Jets fill up the $12 million in salary cap space that was freed with his retirement, he will un-retire. This will force the Jets to release him, and he is free to sign with the Vikings.

I don't mean to be inadvertantly rude toward any Favre fans with this statement, but personally, I am glad to hear that this will be the last of Jet Favre the Douche.

Sure, I used to like the guy, but now he is a joke. Period. First he's like, "*sob* Oh my God, my life is ending, I quit! *sob*" Then he turns around and says, "JK! I'm comin back! *feeds the geese*" Now, he realizes he is teh absolute suxzorz, and decides to leave (again).

Whatever.

It sure will be the good match. Vikings has a strong defense but they were lacking the veteran QB that could lead them to victories. I don't think this will happen personally. The way Favre un-retire himself last year.. I just don't see it.
