I have a generic 16gb usb flash drive and so far works on everything but the new ipad. It even works on several android tablets. I bought the camera connect kit to use and when I plug it in it says not enough power to run it. I would like to know which model works for you. I simply want at least a 16gb flash drive or sd card that will work with my camera connect kit to use to transfer files of all types such as jpeg, avi, etc. If this doesn't work I was considering an Amazon basics microsd card. Will the new ipad read this and allow transfer of media files?

Not trolling... serious question. I simply want to know if there's a particular model out there that the new ipad will accept and not give me the 'lack of power to run' jargon. I understand the camera connect kit is meant to transfer pictures from actual cameras but I want a workaround to transfer everyday documents such as cbr files to my comic reader. I havent tried a microsd yet so thought I'd ask before buying one... or maybe someone has luck with another flash drive.

You cannot use any such external media on any type of iPad, unless jail broken, something we can't discuss here.
