Tomorrow is Boxing day and there's a Surface 1 RT available 64GB for about 300$, I am interested as i feel my Nexus 7 is a great tablet but I want something for personal and school, and I feel maybe the Surface may be the right choice but I don't know what do you guys think?? Honest opinions are welcome.

Terrible deal, avoid RT tablets.
The ASUS T100 (Intel Z3740) is the right choice and it costs $370 CAD at NCIX Canada.
That price gets you a device with Windows 8.1 (x86), Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, 11 hour battery (tablet only, keyboard dock contains no battery), 1.2 lbs (2.4 lbs with keyboard dock), microSD, and a full sized USB 3.0 on the keyboard dock.
