ipod touch too many apps question

I've installed too many apps on my ipod touch to fit into the available pages. So now I have a bunch of apps that are installed that I can find using the search function, but I don't have a shortcut to them on one of the pages. I've created folders to make more space for the shortcuts, but can't find a way to create the shortcuts themselves except to uninstall and reinstall the apps. Does anyone have a solution for this. I've already tried just synching again but that doesn't create the shortcuts since the apps are already installed.
