can you not put games or apps on an SD card?

i have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. i downloaded Real Racing 3, and when i try to play it, it says i dont have enough room for the update, and it wont let me play the game

the update is 1.7 gigs, and it says i only have 1 gig of room left on my tablet. BUT, i have a 64 gig SD card with nothing on it

Nope since ice cream sandwich 4.0 you were unable to put put apps on sd. However i believe if you have root access, there are apps that can do it.
