Aside from upcoming gifs, meltdowns, and hopefully surprises, the only thing I care about now is Nintendo's conference. I'm not sure I am really expecting anything "Amazing" from MS or Sony because I feel like it will be what we expect already, unless they tease/unviel a new console, which they said they won't. Kinect games, Black Ops and Halo 4 demos, and either some exclusive 3rd party DLC/Timed exclusive, a few XBLA games montage, and one "mystery" tease/game possibly. Either Epic's new game, Gears spinoff/DLC, or what have you. Then MS will give away something for everyone. :P
Sony's conference will probably show off more demos of The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, and some other games exclusive to their platforms, I expect some upcoming sequels/prequels to be announced in their other IP category, their Smash Bros. game demoed, a few PS Vita montages, and them trying to make it seem like Vita is in for a good year, when it probably won't be.Â
Nintendo's really is the only one to interest me, because either they hit it off big or completely fizzle out. I admit, I'm excited for the Wii U, and having some hands on time with it, has made me want to have more with it. I will be buying it Day 1 already, that's a guarantee, but I can still expect them to really not do strong. If they don't show off a strong line-up for the launch/launch window, no Nintendo exclusives, no 3rd party support, and completely leave the online format in the dark for us who want to know, I will no doubt consider it a bad showcase. They need to reveal everything.Â
I know price won't be, and that's a shame really, but if they can build up the excitement for the system, but showing off what we are to expect with it's new controller, online structure, and most importantly games, then I will consider it a moderate success. They also need to show me the 3DS has momentum.
I would like to hear announcements of 3DS/Wii U connectivity, online accouns being synced from Wii U and 3DS, some new updates that will add features, like hopefully cross messaging/inbox system. Swapnote is fun, but I just want to send a quick game invite/text message to a friend too. I hope to see more stuff on the eShop actually, it's been a little dry there lately. It's had some great games, and has been strong lately, but it is starting to fizzle down a bit.Â
Lastly, I just want to see games. More strong third party support is also appreciated, and more games in the future with more release dates for those we've been hearing about already like Luigi's Mansion, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, etc.Â
