Getting Xenoblade to Release in North America

I'm sure you guys have probably already seen the System Wars thread on this same topic, but I'm posting it here on the off chance that you haven't, and just to get the issue to your notice.

Following the disappointing news that Xenoblade won't be making it to the US, fans have rallied, and are organizing various protests to get Nintendo of America to sit up and take notice, and to get the game released here at any cost.

• The campaign began on IGN's forum, with a letter template being worked upon, addressed to Reggie, and with all letters due to reach Reggie on the 6th of July. As Destructoid reports, the campaign has now spread to get Pandora's Tower and The Last Story localized too.
• Moreover, after Gamespot user LegatoSkyHeart pointed it out, I realized that another recourse for the fans has been to start preordering the game on Amazon. The game's Amazon ranking is rising right now. I encourage you all to preorder Xenoblade on Amazon. The preordering has been helping, as currently, Xenoblade is ranked #25 on the Amazon video games chart, #1 in the Action Games chart on Wii, and #4 for all Wii games.
• Another things that fans are doing- and this one's quite hilarious- is spamming Nintendo's Facebook feed.(thanks to super600 for pointing that out). You can also bombard Nintendo of America's Twitter feed.Address your tweets to @NintendoAmerica. Be sure to include the tag #Xenoblade in your tweet!
• You can also swamp Nintendo's phone lines by calling 1800-633-3236 and asking about this game's release (thanks, Nintendonly!)
• Also, if you'd like, please put the Xenoblade logo in your sig. I'm providing the picture below, feel free to copy it to your sig. Also, please include a link to this thread, so more people can know about our campaign. Let's put up a fair fight, people!

Whereas there is little chance that this game will get localized in spite of any of this, I have personally now done all of the above.

Come on guys! Let's do this! It's times like this that we need to stand up as gamers! Let's get Xenoblade released in North America!

It certainly seems to be working. The game is currently #4 on Amazon, and has gained 113, 150% in the last 24 hours. 

If they don't want my money, I'll get the game by other means.

I disagree, if the company of Amazon see's a huge demand, then they will want those profits, so it puts NoA under pressure to release the game.

I don't think that most people who bought Demon's Souls knew about its GOTy or AAA status of Gamespot... I'm sure it was a lot of word of mouth. I personally got at least 4 people to buy it, and I have friends I know online with similar stories, of people buying the game after they saw a friend play or whatnot. 
Demon's Souls was just different and awesome, Xenoblade does not seem to quite share its qualities. :o

While that is true, there is certainly a level of quality you can see from footage and such. Monolith has not really made anything that great in general though. I would get the game if it comes out in NA, but I would not join the campaign for it.

You can just buy the European version and apply a software mod to the system, it may be illegal by definition, but not morally I'd say. 

I use it to rip games I buy to a harddrive, because some games like Rune Factory Frontier have epic long load times. Don't feel immoral doing it.

Honestly speaking though, I don't see why they even have region restrictions. It would be better if it was at least like the 360 where SOME games were restricted and some are Region Free. I know Nintendo does it to protect its franchises selling in each region, but now a bunch of games have gone to europe with no chance of north american release. It seems like there is literally no good reason to keep the system region locked, from financial or any other point of view.

The Baten Katois "how ever you spell it" were all great games. From what I understand the Xenosaga games were good also.

Was just thinking.. does it HAVE to be nintendo that localizes them Xenoblade and the others in the campaign? I wonder why someone like Atlus, XSEED, or NIS don't step up to take them on, they try to grab a ton of niche games so these titles seem right up their alley...110million
