Heroes tells the story of everyday people who discover they have superpowers and how they use them. It's a pretty awesome show with special effect and plenty of action. While the later seasons aren't as good as the first I still believe this is well worth watching. The 4th season is starting late September.

I don't think there is a show on TV that pisses me off more than Heroes.
It's my favorite genre (superhero sci-fi)but the writing is so uneven and the way the show is paced is really annoying. They seem to not be able to do a season finale worth a damn and death means nothing on this show. Neither does the ability to control time. For someone with such a formidable power, Hiro seems to get his ass kicked way too often.And I might be showing my nerd here, but I absolutely HATE when writers do really bad time travel stories and this show is chock full of them.Also their reliance on Sylar as the main villain has painted then into a really bad corner.
for me the worst part of the Hiro story line is how they made him learn how to be a great samuria and he was actually kicking up but then it's like they totally erased all that and he's just a loser again.Â
The mentalist is a good show, yes its probably a Psych ripoff, but the rest of the police squad is so much more interesting in the mentalist.grapefruit21
Although similar in premise, the two shows couldn't be more different and I really like them both. Psych is more of a buddy slapstickish affair, where the Mentalist is more of a psychological drama which is strange because it's a pretty funny show.In the season 4 opener of psych Shawn actually references The Mentalist when he's explaining what he does for the police department.

I actually did know that. Never got into Jag all that much. I didn't get into NCIS until the 4th season.But I went back and caught all the older shows. Like my gaming, I'm a bit of a completetist..

I wouldn't say that made the show better, but I do like Ziva and her American culture failings more.....:P
