I have been unable to log on for over a year.

I do miss this place and it is quite a bit different, especially from what I remember from years ago.

I started this profile in 2004.

Also I bring greetings from another veteran Gamespotter. Miss Fari Khatibi

who many of you may remember as Khatibi22 who is doing well and remembers this place with great fondness.

she still can not log in as the site is blocked where she lives.

we still keep in touch vie e-mail.

if you have a message for khatib22 or kasiabartek I still talk to them both.

How have you all been and what is going on.

I managed to get my hands on EarthBound, I am currently working on completing Tales of Phantasia - the uncensored SNES version, by the way, and I'm working on finishing up one of the longest running anime series of all time: http://www.gamespot.com/profile/GSJones1994/anime-talk-detective-conan/26069411/

Welcome back, Jim!

There's not been *that* much of a change on GS in the last year, to be sure.

Hello! I was thinking about PMing you a few weeks ago just to check up on how you're doing. I didn't get around to it, sorry :P

I don't know them very well, but it's good to know things are going well for your friends :D

I've been good. I'll be in university by the end of the year. Normal gamer/metalhead stuff's been happening; I've finished some animes and summer is blisteringly hot.

It's seriously good to have read an update from you :)

Why, I was just taking my first sip of a smoking bishop when I sat down to see this posted! (I know it's a winter drink, but my wife maniacally cranks the AC when temps get above 75. I think she was a husky in her former life.)

Good to see you check in.

@BravoOneActual: the girls keep you in line and that is a cool name for a drink.

I would freeze with the AC down that low.

@Spinnerweb: seems like everyone is either too wet or too hot. I'm also too hot.

that is the way forums go though, people come and go. but it is good to be back here ...Gamespot was always my favourite spot.

@VintAge68: it is good to be back Alexandra.

I missed this place and some of the people. you are one I did miss.

on other forums I've been encouraging Greece to stand firm and not let the German banking cartel bully them into 50 years of penury. I reckon if they stand firm the other nations who are in problems due to the Euro will take heart and possibly Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Estonia and Cyprus? I talked to people in Malta and Greece but I haven't had contact with either for a couple of years now since conditions worsened. so I have to follow the news to keep up to date on conditions.

any game that has Tales of as the first words is worth playing!

I've played several of the Tales of Games but not the very first which is Phantasia.

@iowastate: Thank you :)

Well, the big European economies like Germany and France will do all to maintain Greece in the monetary zone in order to not debilitate whose moment and that of the Euro. "Lesser" countries like Spain did their homework and apparently got over the critical years after the Euro conversion (e.g., Spain's GDP grows around 3% this year). With respect to countries like Spain that made a lot of effort in the same period it is a bit unfair to simply excuse Greece's negligence, but then they should also know at what point the Euro really serves its proper needs and that of its citizens. Right now the situation is so dramatic that I'd rather think Greece should leave the Euro zone (better a dreadful end than dread without end ;-) --maybe they could join back in two decades or so.

Hello! Good to see one of the long-term Gamespotters back! Since all the changes, I hardly ever sign in anymore but I do pop in occasionally. Usually when I want to see something about a game I am interested in.

good to see you again too, this place just isn't the same .. Especially with Kevin leaving.

I remember when the first thing I did everyday was log in to GS....that just is not true anymore
