Are you a hard core Metal Gear fan? Or have you never really had the time to get into the series? Sound off!
I'm a Level 5 Die Hard Fan! Unfortunately I don't have any type of Metal Gear Solid tatoo.......yet. ;)
Result: Level 3: Loyal Fan:
You've played enough of the Metal Gear games to appreciate their awesomeness. Maybe you even know some obscure Metal Gear trivia.
Only MGS games I never played were: The handheld versions [Portable Ops, Peace Walker] and Sons of Liberty.
@stanrezaee: Did the remake add anything new to the experience or was it mainly a graphical improvement?
Result: Level 1: Not quite a "Fan" lol. I wanted to get Snake Eater back in the day but had too many games that I wasn't allowed to get it. Over time I didn't follow the series as I relayed on a magazine to find my games and didn't notice any of the games after it. Missed out on so much back in those days because I was stuck playing the same games over and over.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snake doesn't come with MGS/MGS2, they are fuse together meaning Metal Gear solid feels and plays like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is what Twin Snake was all about, it's a fusion between MGS/MGS2 together. Giving the fact that Twin Snake was a Gamecube exclusive, it's hard to say it should be up on this list but however, I notice Substance isn't up there as well and there are a few people I know who went to play Substance like Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater.
I absolutely love this series although I haven't played snakes revenge, ghost babel, portable ops, or the acid series. I'm a level 4 fan.
I started with Metal Gear solid one and have been a continued fan ever since :) will be getting Metal Gear Solid 5 for pc.
Level 5 Die hard fan :) but there's a couple of games missing from the quiz. Both Metal Gear Acid games and Twin Snakes.
The first Metal Gear Solid was the very first game I ever completed from start to finish without needing a guide or cheats to help. It was a great game and when I got Stealth for completing it was amazing.
I do enjoy the MGS games, but I seem to enjoy the odd numbered games more than the even numbered ones.
"not quite a fan" :-P
Played MGS2 back in the day. Liked it, but never got around to anything else, except was miserably unimpressed by the Revengeance demo on PS3... maybe you need to be a diehard to appreciate that demo, but it didn't remind me at all of the things I liked about MGS2 so that was a big no-go
I'm a Loyal Fan, i've played Twin Snakes (basically, a GC remake of Metal Gear Solid), Snake Eater, Ground Zeroes and Sons of Liberty
Loyal I guess. I don't quite understand how determining how many of the games I've played automatically correlates to fandom, only exposure, because the majority of the MGS titles I've experienced have left me unsatisfied. Only the first MG and MGS 1 (not TS) are my favorites. After that, Kojima started going off the deep end in 2, 3 was a step back in the right direction, and 4 was so asinine that no amount of competent technical proficiency of game design could overcome the ridiculousness of the narrative and Kojima's prepubescent visions of soda drinking monkeys, fecal humor and every manner of 13 year old male juvenile fantasy represented in scant female attire and objectification, to now be added to the list vagina bombs and shrapnel horns in V.
I expect nothing from the story in V aside from immense humor value and eye rolling (made all the worse because Kojima actually attempts to pass it off as sincerely heartfelt and dramatic), but fortunately from the reviews I'm reading there are large segments of the game that don't focus on it at all. Wonderful. Because in as much as I detest Kojima's writing, it's inarguable that he and his team do know how to make great games from a technical perspective.
